How To Organize Your Office This Spring

It’s no secret that we get our best work done when we’re in a space that inspires us. And with so many of us working from home these days, why not make that space your home office? This spring season, take the time to organize and tidy up your home office to create a space you're excited to work from each day. Follow our tips to spring clean your office.

Tip #1: Store away what you don’t use daily

Do you keep your toaster, kettle, air fryer, slow cooker, coffee bean grinder, and instant pot out on your kitchen counter all the time? Probably not, and the same goes for the electronics and tools in your office.

Instead of having your printer, scanner, and all your other electronics out on your desk where they’re in your way, choose to upgrade your cabinetry with storage solutions that make it easy to store these items and bring them out effortlessly when needed.

Tip #2: Organize your papers

The first step to de-cluttering is cleaning up all the papers you have lying around. Normal filing organizers are usually very industrial looking, which is why we love file organizers that are built-in to your cabinetry.

Tip #3: Hide your cords

Cord frustration, it’s a real thing. Amazon has so many unique cord organizers that hide the mess and also keep your cords tangle-free. Trust us that once your office is visually cleaner your mental clarity is soon to follow.

Tip #4: Create a vision board

Ok, so this isn’t an organization tip, but now that your office is all clean and tidy it’s time to really get the inspiration going. Purchase and hang a beautiful corkboard and place it on a wall that you can easily see when sitting at your desk. Now spend an afternoon saving and printing out inspiring photos, and begin pinning them to your corkboard.

What do you see? Are there any themes that arise? Go to this board when you’re feeling uninspired and let it re-ignite that inner passion.

If you’re looking for a stylish yet neutral vision board to incorporate into your space, we recommend the vision board kit from Smart Cookies.
